Timber Post and Rafter Entry Porch

This simple shed roof porch provides all the essential features of an entry porch.  A place to kick off wet and muddy boots, to store some firewood, and to maybe just sit and admire the wind in the trees on a misty day, an entrance transition is a key design feature.  These hemlock timbers were stained to match the color scheme of the house and were left lightly planed to match the interior frame.
